Social Media

Category - Blog

Hey, you guys!

Well, I’ve now been blogging here for about a month, and well, I thought it might be time for me to introduce / remind me of my activity on some social medias.

So, why should you follow me on these medias? There are quite a few reasons actually.
By doing so you:

  1. Let me know that my work is appreciated.
  2. Get to see my status on projects as I work on them.
  3. Get to read small teasers and previews of unpublished work.
  4. Don’t have to check this blog for updates all the time because you get it in your feed.
  5. Have the opportunity to vote when I ask for your opinion in prioritizing matters.
  6. Can easily give me pointers on previous chapter and influence upcoming ones.
  7. Have an easier way to communicate with me.
  8. Will make Winny happy :3

Convinced? Well here are the links – and don’t be afraid to contact me through them. Also, I would be more than happy if you spread the word to friends of yours that might share this interest – give them the link or simply invite them to like.

That’s all I have to say about this matter for now. If you do have any questions concerning this, then do feel free free to contact me for more information.

I hope I’ll see you all on a social media soon^^

– Winny

The last Monday of each month I’ll tell you guys my plans for the next month. This will include what I’m going to publish, what I’m going to work on, and special occasions – as writing days and such. I will however not write about the reviews and quizzes that will come.

Writing Day:

Join the FaceBook-event:

These are stories that are going to be published in May. Be sure to read them – They will be published on Sundays.

“Melissa Kaien” – Chapter 1:
My “Harry Potter” story from some years ago. It’s about my own character that is name Melissa Kaien, and that has been transferred to Hogwarts. I’m as good a done, but I’m gonna run it by my friend to do fandom check before publishing it.

“Tainted Love” – Chapter 2:
I actually started writing this one years ago, but I guess I just got busy with a lot of other stuff. Anyway, the story is about Kiba and Hinata from “Naruto”, and is based on song titles that was randomly picked.

“De tolv helikoptere” – OneShot
I found this with my old stuff. It’s in Norwegian, and is based on an old and rather old fairy tail. The background for this story is a homework where we were to modernize an old story. It might be a little stupid, but I still kinda like it. My plan is to get it Beta’ed and then published in May.

GaaMatsu  Not been given a title yet – OneShot
A cute little story I wrote back in middle school. The story is a about Matsu and Gaara in quite another setting. Both the story and the characters might been seen as quite OOC, and I guess that is a symptom I got from reading quite a few stange – though adorable, little stories back then.

In progress:

Stories I’m planning to work on so that they can be published later:

“Burning” – Chapter 8:
A new chapter of my “longfic” about Orihime and Ulquiorra is to be expected June 1st. This time I think most of the focus will be on Orihime and her view on the events. I haven’t really gotten to start writing it for real, but I have made some notes and thoughts.

“Daddy’s Devilish Diary” – OneShot
This is a story I’m writing on together with my good friend and college Pixie.

“Moon Witches” – Chapter 1
One night that I was looking out the window and out into the night sky, I got an idea for an original story. I haven’t really started on it yet, but I planning to work on it in April, and maybe publish a chapter in May.

Et Skritt Til

This is a story that I wrote back in 2008. It’s a kinda tradic one, but, you know, everything can’t be all rosen red and happy. Oh, and yeah, it’s in Norwegian and consists of 600 words.

Even though I’m not planning to write on it for a whole, I would still love to get some feedback, so please do write to me and tell me what you think^^

Q&A – April

Category - Q&A

– How old are you?

Right now I’m 20 years old.

– What grade are you in?

I’m in my first year of university collage.

– What’s your favorite color?

Well, I guess purple is my favorite at the moment, but I also like turquoise quite a bit too.

– What’s your favorite hair style you wear?

That was a strange question. Hmm… Right now it’s braiding some of the hair of each side together and let it go across the back of my head and down on my right side. If that made any sense to you.

– What do you want to be when your grow up?

A difficult question. There is so much I wanna be. I wanna be a secretary, a writer, a housewife, a maid, a reviewer, a translator, a plot developer, a designer, a web consultant, a librarian. Well, you get the idea.

– How long have you been writing?

Well, I’ve always liked to write. Back in the old days I started on stories but never manged to get past the first chapter. So yeah, if that counts, then the answer is when I was 7 years old. If a criteria was that the story had to have an ending, well, then I guess you could say I was 13 years old.

– What is your favorite pairing?

That’s a really hard question. I mean, there are so many to choose from – and so many fandoms. I’m not sure, but let’s say Kiba and Hinata from Naruto. FunFact: Almost all m favorite pairings consists of a boy I like and a girl I don’t like.

– When talking about your story “Ninjaenes forundelige kjærlighetsbånd” you told me you were going to pair up a lot of different characters. Why are you doing this?

Ah, yeah, a little spoiler. Well, for you English speaking: The story has a lot of couples. most stories have “clean” pairings, but in this one there are a lot of unrequited love, secret love and jealously. I guess the meaning of it was that I back then couldn’t decide what I liked the most of for instance NejiTen and LeeTen. So yeah, there are a lot back and forth and stuff – and kinda chaotic – but isn’t that what life really is?

– Of all your stories, which story is your greatest achievement?

Without doubt – “Burning”. It’s the story of most words, chapters and also the one with the most depth.

Naruto – Tainted Love – Chapter 1 – Dødssøt

Language Genre Rated
English Romance / Drama T
So, this is yet another of my old stories that I never published. It’s actually my first attemt to write a SongFic – a story inspired by 20 randomly chosen songs. Not all the titles has the same amount of influence on the story, and this makes the length of the chapters vary quite a bit. This first one got 600 words, and the title is “Dødssøt” – which in English would be something like “Cute as hell”.I hope you like it – and please feel free to give me feedback.

WritersChallange – “LibertyPen”

Wanna join a one day writing challenge? Well, then I have the perfect event for you!

Twice before have I hosted a WritersChallange. First was the “Project Valentine”, and then, one month later the “Writing White” happened – and this time, May 8th, it’s called “Liberty Pen”.

Each of these day have their own theme – something that differ each one of the other. Earlier the theese has focused around romance, but this time the theme is liberty – how you define it is up to you.

So, what are the rules?

First of all, the whole process is to be done in one day only. You’re not to pick an idea before the clock strikes midnight, and the story is to be uploaded before the clock strikes again 24 hours later. Concerning the genre and writing style, you’re free to choose whatever you’d like – as long as it has something to do with Liberty.

Do remember to attend the FaceBook event – here more information will be given in time:
Do ask if you have any questions regarding this^^

Best of luck to you all!

Numbers vs Realistic Numbers

Category - Writers Word

All creative people like it when their work is being seen or read. The joy that fills you up as you see the numbers of visitors, viewers or readers go up, up and over the top is such a wonderful feeling. However, is this number that we’re presented with something we can trust as people that are actually interested? Do you even care if it is?

I don’t know if some of you have noticed, but it’s often so that soon after you establish your new blog or such, you get a day or two with a lot of visitors. I’m not saying that it have to be some fungus about it – you might be lucky enough that it’s actually a truthful number, but it’s also quite likely that the web itself just thew a few visitors your way.

So, how is the creator supposed to feel about this? I mean, can it be that all the viewers are from the internet itself or just people getting there b an accident – well, except that one time you made your friend visit the link to show promote your new project.

But what about the subscribers? you might ask. Well, in some way the numbers of subscribers are a better number – since you actually have to have an account and confirm, or actually enter an email address. Still, this isn’t a real number either. Think of all those that refuse to be a member who is skeptical to the concept of giving up their email. Maybe they use RSS? or have you bookmarked?

All in all I guess there are just more and more questions the further you think about it. I guess the best thing to do is to just keep your head up, but not as high that you sees the number as the truth. A way to make this whole business better for everyone would be to actually give feedback. Not much, you don’t have to writ a novel each time – just let the creator know that you’re there.

Those are my thoughts, what are yours?
