Authors notes:

Origin:
So this was one of the WritersChallange stories. It was is May 2014, and the theme for the day was “LibertyPen”.

This was the first time that I found it hard to do a challenge. I was sitting up and waiting for an idea to pop down into my head, but nothing happened. After a while I became quite desperate and started to listen to music. Suddenly the one ending theme from ‘The Tribe” started playing, and then I knew what I wanted to do. No, not something based on one of my first favorite shows, but one of my favorite Disney movies: “Atlantis: The Lost Empire”.

Process:
As I had my idea I instantly put on the two movies and watched them. The only difference to when I normally watch them, were that this time I saw them with English and not Norwegian voices – which was weird – and I still prefer my childhood voices.

Triva:
I was originally planning to base the story on both of the films, but I really don’t like certain parts of the second one. Because of that I’m basically just writing my own sequel.

I had actually created this character way before this event. She was meant for a longer and more action and adventure-filled story, and who knows, I might get the time and mind to get that written down someday.

Pintrest:
I made some pins while working on the story. Feel free to check them out:
